By any chance would any one know how to make a grapic similar to this? I imagine its done by placing a photo into illustrator then turning it into a graphic but i dont know how. Any one good at graphic art?

Photoshoped for sure, maybe scanned from a drawing which was originally based on a photograph. Then maybe enhanced using filters -- Something like Flaming Pear's excellent set of filters, esp 'organic shapes' I would guess. I used FlamingPear's organic shapes to turn this into this, for instance.

the lines and fancy curves r they easy part. i can do that no problem...the hard part is the face and body. it looks too smooth to be photoshop alone so i think its illustrator or another vector program. i have been searching the net for weeks

Hey Tahj.
Why dont you just search some of the stock image sites for something you like? I use istockphoto quite a bit and they do have illustration (not just photos)...just a suggestion

It looks like illustrator to me. However you can get a similar effect in photoshop. This is the quickest and easiest way... it's not illustrator vector... but it works i guess. Take the image and desaturate it (image>adjustment>desaturate). Then adjust the levels to get brighter whites and darker blacks. Then use the Cutout filter. Put the number of levels at 8, edge simplicity at 0. Then you might need to readjust the levels to get it where you want it. Then add all the swirls and stuff as new layers.

Hi

Obviously that pic was not done in one shot or one layer.

This is the closest I got to it with Photoshop 5.0 on the fly:

From a color picture from your website

1.- turned to grayscale
2.- Used Filter>Sketch>Photocopy
3.- Again used Filter>Blur>gaussean Blur ( 0.3 radius for smooth edges)
4.- Bucket Painted the legs of girl on left
5.- Adjusted brightness and contrast at same time (higher)

Hope this gives you an idea.
