Full Version: Checking Out With 0 Total

ScrappinDeals
I have some free events on my site that I want people to register for. They "purchase" the event (I have it set up with "0" cost, free shipping, no tax). When testing it though, I can't seem to get past the payment screen. It keeps asking me to enter a payment - is there a way to allow the payment to be skipped so they can complete the order?

THanks!

Hi Jackie,

At this point in time we do not allow clients to checkout with a 0 cost due to the fact that the shopping cart is designed for sales and not give aways. The best thing I can recommend is to utilize form mail that will let your clients sign up for the event and then it will send you an email.

For information on how to do this please checkout - http://kb.monstercommerce.com/support/quic...e_formmail.html

We have done this but I can't remember how....check to make sure your minimum sale is set to $0 under system settings.

It should work the same as if you were redeeming a gift certificate that resulted in a 0 total...it does not ask for a payment method in that case.
