I know the other day when I had a sudden drop in traffic, many others had reported the same thing. This happend again this weekend. I only got a quarter of third of my usual traffic. I over looked it as another glitch for yesterday but it looks like the same happened today...I hope Im not the only one. Did this happen to anyone else this time?

Tahj,

Didn't notice a glitch in GA, but did see a slight decrease in traffic. Saturdays are our lowest traffic days, always. Now I can't say that they are usually a third less, but sometimes it is. Also, sometimes there are just days that GA takes longer to catch up and report the actual traffic. They (Google) say that it takes 24 hrs to give the stats.

I have been seeing this as well - here is a timeline:

As you can see my numbers until July 10 are about normal, but check out the range labeled "A". My visitors more than doubled for that 11 day period. Now I'm suffering through range "B" with less than half of my normal visitor count. I can't account for this because the discrepancy seems to be in the "(direct) ((none))" traffic source, which I don't know how to break down further.

Any suggestions?

I wondered if a PR update occured about July 21st. It seemed like traffic went up for us. Everytime a PR update happens it seems like the traffic fluctuates for a few weeks, up and down, or down and up, then it levels off after everyone has made it through the update.
