i'm have a hard time getting my border onthe left and right to align with the top (header) and bottom (footer).

I have changed the Store front column sizes so many times in the: Layout/Site Wide Color & Font Options/Site Borders & Misc Tab. These settings seem to be general and their effects are so random as to make no sense. I understand the how the settings should work and yet don't.

My page is 955 pix wide. I have set the Left Column width to 1pix (for the left border) and the center column for 739pix and the right column for 215.
So that should add up to the page width ...but the right column seem to never line up!?
Is there cell padding or spacing that i am un-aware of happening ??
