We just had a problem transaction that was due to the apparent lack of a field in

3.1 for a person's middle initial. This is the first time it has happened.
Has anyone else had a problem because there is no place for the customer to enter his or her middle initial/name?
I am hoping I have just overlooked something and can turn on that field.

4.0 is missing this field as well.
I wonder if this is the reason i've had declines on some cards where customers know for a fact that it is valid.

I forwarded this to Josh and Jen for review.... they will respond shortly.

Thanks Captain,
If do plan to implement this be sure to make this field optional.
Some people don't have middle names.

Hi!
Version 3.x
There is a place for a first name and last name and a customer must place their middle initial in this box.
Version 4.0
When a real-time payment gateway is used, there is only one box to enter the entire name. This box states (Name On Card) at this point the customer should enter the full name printed on the credit card.
When a custom payment gateway is used, you can create name options to your liking (first, middle, last, etc.)
Hope this helps!

Exactly as Jen has stated. FULL NAME ON CARD. Very blunt there

There is currently no anticipation in adding a 2nd or 3rd box for just the NAME for a real time gateway.
Thanks!
Joshua

That should solve the problem! I can't wait for our first site to get migrated!

Yes I was kind of slow on this. and Josh instructed me to put FULL NAME ON CARD.
I do not know if we had slow customers..j/k.. but I would put name on card and they would put their first name.

Haha... yeah I know what your saying Krazy. I get calls from people who cant' find the cart on my site! It's in the upper right corner, I didn't hide it on them. Some people just like every site to look and work the same. When things are worded different or in a different place they get confused.
