-Which of the SSL companies did you choose to provide your certificate?
-How much does it cost annually?
-How did you integrate it into your page (if there was a logo or seal you used). Did you place it on every page, or just at some point during checkout?
-Did you see in increase in sales as a result of changing from the default *.netsolstores cert to your own?

Thanks in advance!

-Which of the SSL companies did you choose to provide your certificate? I use Geotrust on my other sites and NetSol on the MC.

-How much does it cost annually? Look to spend 400-800 per year for the EV certificate. I will be upgrading to this certificate within the next 12 months.

-How did you integrate it into your page (if there was a logo or seal you used). Did you place it on every page, or just at some point during checkout? One site I have it above the categories, another in the footer and one on the right nav bar. I think it is important for it show up on every page.

-Did you see in increase in sales as a result of changing from the default *.netsolstores cert to your own? Cant answer this...I am guessing this is the shared MC (NetSol) SSL certificate? I would think this would be better than no certificate but not as good as one that is site specific.

Thanks for the info. Just curious - why didn't you use Geo on your MC store?

Anyone else want to chime in?

SC.. At the time NetSol had a huge discount on the SSL for multi year purchase. If it is as much hassle to renew it as it was to obtain it, Geo will be on the site next time.

Due to the lower price I went with NetSol for my SSL cert. The ordering process was tedious and the verification information they needed was in my opinion extravagant, but my SSL cert is up and running. I decided not to go with the EV SSL cert at this time just because of the cost - hopefully in a year or so the price will come down or they will have an "upgrade discount" or something. One bonus to using NetSol is that they partially install and activate the cert for you on your store. All you really have to do is paste the HTML code for the seal and enable the cert in Settings>Site Security in your monstersmile.gif admin panel. Oddly, they automatically enabled it for "Admin Site Access" but not for "Checkout Process".

I did the same thing, I just got the NetSol SSL and I think it looks real nice on my site. It was easy as heck to do, just fax some stuff, it was approved and validated in like 3 business days, all in all very easy. I originally was going the get the EV, as I'm not incorporated, but after signing up online they hadn't updated anything (it was only the day after announcing the policy changes) so I couldn't validate. I called up and somebody in SSL told me I couldn't get EV for a few months, which apparently was completely not correct. So I applied for the basic and kind of glad I did now, saved me $ and don't think I really need EV right now, down the road perhaps.

All in all a good experience.
