Hi,

When having 2 e-stores do you have to sign up for 2 different merchant account to match the name of the websites? Or can i use "Authorize Only" when a sale goes through then manually switch the name on my merchant account (i use paypal direct payment) ? I know if i don't change the name on the credit card statements then there will be chargebacks.

Thanks

I am not sure about MC, but for my business I have a company that owns all my websites and the merchant account is in the company name. For my non MC sites, in the about us section, I state the name that will show up on the credit card. Payment gateways may be your problem....

Sure do wish MC would use Versign PayFlow Pro.....

Hi Guys,

Every merchant account is connected to one gateway, which is connected to one merchant account. On your customer's credit card statements, it needs to read your business name. So, if you're selling two totally different items on each website, you wouldn't want to do this because of that descriptor line not identifying the correct business name. This would result in a large amount of chargeback's. It also depends

We do however make it very affordable if you have to go to two sites, so it won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Hope that helps,
Julie
