I just discovered we have over 3000 names on our Newsletter list. How do you all manage these things? Do you use the default MC app or other software? Have you done purges, etc? Just getting around to maintenance on the list and was quite surprised at the number of subscribers.

Hey KennyE.
We've gone to using intellic0ntact with a double opt-in; much more robust. We've been with them about 7 months and we're pleased. I took my original list and just migrated it to the new account.

MG,

I talked to the El' Bosso about newsletter software, etc. She purchased one called GroupMail. Seems robust enough. Has opt in/out, list management ... a few other options. Got my first newsletter ready to go, did all the tests to make sure it was working properly. I got 19 emails sent from a group of 859 before my ISP puked on me! I wrote my ISP (uh .... sounds like with dubmcast). Their reply was that the number of emails that can be sent at one time is limited ... and a secret. Mostly told me: too bad. How are you getting your newsletters and updates out? Are you using a 3rd party email server? MC's server? Can you tell I'm a bit lost here? I do my work from home, not the shop site, so I'm somewhat limited to my access. Just not sure what to tell the boss.

Hey Ken.
As I mentioned, I use Intellecontact. I log into my panel via the web...when I send my blast, it has abosolutely nothing to do with my ISP. I've never heard of "Gr0upmail"--but unless it's a downloadable client that eventually sends the blast through your email account I couldnt even fathom what your regular ISP would have to do with it?

Think of it this way---when I list an item on ebay for sale; the visitors to my item have nothing to do with my ISP...it's hosted 100% on ebay's servers.
Hope that helps!

PS Any recommendations on a good, discrete, fast holster for a Gl0ck 19 (worthy of conceal carry)? If you sell such an animal--Im a customer!

We use Constant Contact, like Intellicontact, when you send the email it has nothing to do with your isp.
