Full Version: Variants Too Complex

Hello;

I am in the process of adding variants to The golf clubs that I sell. I am concerned that a customer will make a mistake when using the variants and it will put me in the position to have to ask for more money from them.

Example: Please look at Power Play select 5000 hybrid

You will see that you can purchase this as a 3-PW (8 clubs) set, a 3-Sw (9 clubs) set or a single club.

I am adding a shaft upgrade. I put it in 3 times for each shaft type.

My question is.

From a user standpoint does it look confusing.

Question #2. Is there any way to have the product description before the variants.

any input would be appreciated

Thank You

Al McCall

Hey Al.
#1. Im not a golfer--but if I was, I dont think that I would find it confusing. I assume that most people ordering this stuff understand that they need to specify the specs?
>>>Why not send out a newsletter with a survey to your mailing list with this type of question? Perhaps an "A" version versus a "B" version?
While it does not look confusing to me, it looks a bit "clunky." It's not your fault, it's the nature of the system. I wonder if there would be a way to toss some css in to tighten up varients? (unlikely)

#2. I doubt it.

Wish I could be more help...but I hope what little I offered is of some use.

Looks okay to me. You seem to have it all covered. I would know what I was ordering. Except for maybe the shaft lengths. Is it possible to add what the "Standard" length is so those unfamiliar with that would have a base reference? Other than that .... well, there are just that many variants. What else can you do?
