I have set up two different custom payment types as well as paypal, and only the paypal is showing as a payment type when I test the site.

Any ideas on why this is?

chammer1, make sure you have the custom payment methods setup in the custom payment mgr. Paypal is in the online payment mgr so they are in two different places within your panel. Also, make sure the hide button is not checked

When I was adding my custom payments, I had to make sure there was at least on entry field.

EXAMPLE.

Name of Custom Payment: Check

Input field: Check Number
or Bank Name

On my current custom payment method (Money Order) I have the input line of "You understand payment must be sent immediately" and it requires 3 letters of input for a YES. I know someone could type NO! or something but then I'd just email them or cancel the order

I think may currently require a input field in order for a custom method to show up - but don't quote my on that one.

Yes, I did find out that it does require an input line.

I was trying to figure out what to put for checks/money orders as the person mostly likely would not have the check number ahead of time.

I like you idea of "You understand payment must be sent immediately".
