Does anyone have a suggestion for how to implement the shipping calculator as it was prior to this latest update? In the past, the customer could plug in the zip code and be given an immediate amount, along with days in transit. The system knew that we shipped via UPS to domestic addresses and USPS to foreign destinations (and Priority Mail for APO, etc.)
However, with this "new and improved" version, they have to choose from the drop down boxes. This is a problem because each custom shipping method is listed--so we may have 3 lines of USPS Priority Mail, and the customer has no way of knowing that the first one is for an APO address, the 2nd for Hawaii, and the 3rd is for US Virgin Islands, etc.--we have no way of changing the titles either.
In other words, our customers can't use the calculator and it has shown in decreased sales. Customers want to know how much shipping is going to cost or they won't bother to go to a shopping cart--as a frequent online consumer myself, I know I don't bother! If anyone can tell me where to find a plug in to insert on another page I'd be very grateful! If this is the wrong forum to post this, let me know and I'll post it elsewhere. Thank you!
