Hello everyone. Well i dont know if anyone remembers me. But i had a website via monstersmile.gif like a year and half ago. But im starting it back up!!

Im excited to get back on an mix and mingle with everyone.

JUst a few questions tho.

I see monstersmile.gif offers website design. Has anyone done this was it worth it. or should i just do it myself.

also i see that you can apply for a merchant account with network solutions. does anyone use them? are you happy do you like?

and I see monstersmile.gif offers a host of severices for marketing and online placement? has anyone used these services? did they increase your sales?

sorry im throwing a lot of things out there. im just preparing to build my site, trying to recall how to do everything and how i should go about it.

o yes and for uploading images it is crazy to do each one manually or do i def need dataport?? if i recall when i had my account in like 05 i never used dataport it seemed so complicated to me.

anyway. Hello everyone foxywells is back on!!! thanks in advance for input.

Hi foxywells,

Welcome back to the forums!

Let me try and answer some of these questions.
1. Design: Our design team is great and really puts together some great looking stores. Note though that if you know html you can design the site yourself but if you do not necessarily have the time or you would like to have a professional create a great looking store front our design service is the way to go. I say this because they know how the cart works and they can easily tell you what you can and can't do where as third party vendors, etc may not know how it works and usually they will just give you a bunch of graphics and html pages that you would then have to actually integrate in to the cart which may or may not be able to be done.

2. Merchant Accounts - Network Solutions Merchant Accounts works with our partners at Bank Card Services. Their typical payment gateway that they resell is ePay USA. Both of those two companies have some of the best customer service in the world and that is why we strongly recommend them. Also the process of getting setup for a merchant account with Bank Card Services is very easy.

3. Online Marketing - in terms of increasing sales I never want to say that SEO services will increase sales, but they will definitely increase traffic to your site. From that though more traffic generally does lead to more sales but items like your sites design, product offerings and your products prices are what will really determine where your sales will go and how much they will increase once you start to get more traffic. Our online marketing teams also know how are cart works too like our design team so they know what will work with our software to get you in the top 10 of many search engines.

I would recommend taking a look at these pages for some more research on these topics:

Also if you would like to discuss these services with one of our reps feel free to email me or pm me your contact info and I can definitely have someone give you a call.

Images aren't put through Dataport... they are put through the FILE MANAGER in your account. Depending on the number of products you have, Dataport may/may not be worth it. Dataport 5 isn't the easiest to use, we still use 4 and love downloading products into CSV files, opening em up into excel, making quick changes, and re-uploading them.

Some merchants download all orders/customers into dataport, especially if you plan on exporting them to other software/mail merge/etc.

Other merchants have no use for it.
