Hey,
We have been using the custom payment feature, to collect our customer's credit card information, and then manually process it through the Virtual Terminal. The main problem with this is that we have to call and get the CVV code for each order.
The reason we haven't integrated Web Payments Pro, is because we sell high-ticket items and a lot of times customers need us to process their total over two days, because of daily spending limits on their debit/credit cards. If we integrated the WPP, and the customer tries to checkout, will the order not go through, because their credit card won't allow the process amount? What will happen?
Thanks,
JWL

Unfortunately, this is the unfortunate part of using real time authorizations with high average tickets. Our average is over $1000, and we would see a huge decrease in orders and increase in customer complaints if we went to real time authorizations... as far as I know, there aren't any gateways that

works with that will collect the information in real time and NOT error if the card declines... either you use a custom payment method and process later, or process right away and upset the customer.

What about this....can you use a real-time gateway, and also use a custom payment option (which would be another credit card form) so that customers who can cover the full invoice can use the real-time and those who need their card billed over two days can use the custom form?
What do you think?
