Full Version: Linking To A Spot On A Page

My question is I want to have links on my index page for policies that link to a single policy page. Instead of just linking to the top of the page for every policy, can I link to a spot on the page? For example if I have a shipping policy and I have it 4th in the row of policies on my policy page. Can I link from the front page directly to that section without going to the top of the policy page.

My goal is to reduce pages. I know how to link to a spot in the same page with anchors but can I anchor from page to page.

Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Depending on the size of your overall policys, I would recommend placing most, if not all, into one page. Then use anchors for each section. Then you can easily set all your links to the specific policy and only have one page to worry about updating in the future.

Just my 2 cents... wink.gif

You should be able to anchor from page to page. Are you using an absolute link such as http://yourdomain.com/shipping.com#shipping status or are you just using relative and leaving out the yourdomain.com part?

Ultimate- Thats my goal, less work.

Krazy- I am using absolute links. Look at my front page USA Public Safety and you can see what I'm attempting. I want all my stuff where the customer can easily get to it, as you can see by my left menu. Those links are where I want to do it.

Thanks

Hey troop it would help if you automatically had your web address in your sig. It helps to get faster responses on the board. wink.gif
