Full Version: Do You Switch To A Holiday Theme For Your Site?

Hiya folks.

Well, I know to the average person, October 31 is a little soon to be thinking of this, but to those of us who rely on the holiday season for a major portion of our sales, it's probably a bit late!

I usually "dress up" my site in a holiday theme, but I don't do it until December 1. However, because we have to allow for shipping times, I wonder if I should be encouraging my customers to begin thinking about the holidays earlier.

Do any of you use a holiday theme for your site design? When do you usually make the switch?

Thanks for your input smile.gif

I personally will be waiting for just around Thanksgiving.

I will be starting my holiday marketing tomorrow, with a Christmas themed front page, Holiday Shopping Guide and Holiday Gift Giving Guide. Do you think that I'm too early? I'll be rotating my featured items, every week.

Already there. Did the dressup about 10 days ago or so...felt that an early start was right this year based upon some internal search data.

Well the brick and mortar stores had their Holiday stuff out before Halloween, and I've been shopping on sites that already have their "holiday" themes on their sites. Go ahead and switch over. I am thinking of trying to do some seasonal stuff on my site as well.
