Is it possible to "push" orders from one MC website to another?
I drop ship for multiple eBay Sellers. Currently they have to submit each order by hand which is a significant task for some of them. If they were to have a MC website, is it possible for the orders to automatically be "pushed" to my site so that they can skip all the data input?

This may be possible with DataPort.
I will check with Charles and he will post shortly.
Neat idea.

I cannot find the post put I think Charles posted that if they filled out a sheet, they could upload to the other site to take it out of stock etc...

Hello All,
Well, as of right now you cannot exchange full order info from one site to the next, but before the end of the month you should be able to. Currently you can download full order information, including customer and product info, into a CSV but you can only upload information like the status or tracking number (and yes you could also use DataPort to update the inventory for products...). By the end of the month I plan to have a system up by which a CSV sheet could be read which contains full order info and then new orders could be uploaded into MC. This could be used to read an export from one store into another.
This goes along with a simular topic someone was asking about how much it would take to build a POS system into DataPort. With this program I could see how you could just build in a form where you enter in customer and product info, possibly even having DataPort check for existing customer or product info, and then send up the order, possibly even having MC process the order right there and then and come back with confirmation.
What are your thoughts on this?

How would the processing of payments occur with the bulk loader? Currently, I only accept payments via PayPal. It appears as though I would have to bill them once the orders are created. If so, how would I accumulate those totals per customer?

StephanC,
This is where things get really tricky, and it is also why I am taking my time with this feature before trying to implement it. The last thing I want to happen is to have customers charged more than once or not at all, or potentially even worse have warehouses asked to ship something even after the customer's payment has been rejected.
Paypal presents its own issues as do custom payment methods and the like. In the end what might have to be done is only allow certain payment methods or only allow new orders uploaded to be given the status of Pending.
I will be investigating this later this week and will try to schedule some time with the core developers to see what would be involved in making this a viable system to import in orders and for everything to work out perfectly.
