We are dissapointed with the new release in general - we shut off the wish list when we saw that sold out products could still be added to a wish list! Also - items don't get deleted off if they are sold out. We can no longer view abandoned carts if the customer has logged in - so anyone who was close to a sale - we can no longer contact them - this is a big problem as we always would contact a customer who had an abandoned cart if they wanted to complete the sale or had a question.

I personally think being able to add a sold out item to a wish list is a good thing. that way the customer can come back and see what he/she wanted and if its available, then they can order it.

now if its a discontinued item, what is it still doing being listed?

Many customers come across a page listing in google or another search engine where pages seem to last forever. Fashion seasons (for us anyway) only last about 12 weeks then it's on to the next line. We very rarely get an item back in once it is sold out.
