We have a Freq. Buyer program for a specific product on our site and we issue a 10% "coupon" off their next purchase of the product up to $10.00. My ? is 2-fold....can we create a coupon or GC 1 at a time? I think we read somewhere on here that this function is not working, or is the works? We were a little confused.

And 2nd...once a customer has a coupon code, as we call it, where can they enter the number upon checkout?

Hope I'm not being redundant and this sort of thing has been ask already...did a search and didn't see anything, but please point me in the right direction if there is a tread on this topic. Thanks!

Update - OK, figured out how to create a discount code for a Freq. Buyer.......however we only allow to go up to $10.00........can this be done? And still need to find out about #2 Thanks!

Just wanted to respond and see if you did figure out a way to achieve what you were looking for. As it seems you have noticed, you can generate a gift certificate 'on the fly' through the Inventory - Gift Certificates menu. A gift certificate code is then entered during checkout at the Shipping options screen (step 3). Since discount codes are a percentage value and there is no way to put a limit to the percentage take off the order, a Gift Certificate is the best option for you.
