I noticed that there were no new carts created since the update last night and thought I would go through a test run. When I click on my "Add to Cart" button I am getting the error "Product does not exist" I have made 0 changes to our site, the only change has been the update last night. Everyone might want to go through adding products to your cart to make sure this is not happing to them.
I am on hold wait for tech support as I type this.

I just had two customers tell me this!!! What is going on??? Here is the latest...
" Most of the items that I tried to add to my cart just now, I got this pop-up saying "Item does not exist"! Why are the items on the website then? Just wondering..."
I haven't been able to isolate the problem, there is no pattern as to why it happens. I am losing money right now!
This needs to be fixed ASAP. I think it's time that our head corporation, John Deere, stop recommending MC to it's dealers right now. I'm going to put this recommendation right away.

Hi Everyone,
As stated in:
http://forums.monstersmallbusiness.com/ind...mp;#entry116047There is a minor issue with APD that is being fixed right now. If you turn it off you will be okay.

Turning off APD is not a option. If this is the case remove the update until the issue is resolved and then re-applied.

haha Java, I beat you to it!
I consider update day like a competition. There are several categories of course.
1. Who can find the most bugs
2. Who finds the first bug
3. Who has the highest lost revenues since the update
4. Etc.
I consider it great, clean fun. My keyboards tend to take a beating because I am laughing and enjoying myself so much that I tend to pound on them.

Hi Javahead,
Simply removing the update from last night can not be done, we do not have a way to revert back, only turning off the APD would resolve this issue.
I can say though that the development team has found the issue and is testing the fix now and should be released shortly.
Finally this is one thing to note with using a Beta feature in the cart. I do understand any frustation that issues like this may cause but I do want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to have this issue resolved as quick as possible.

I like that it always goes back to the, Well APD is a BETA product and it was not foreseen prior to the update that software that we created would actually cause you to (got this one) NOT let you sell products.
Isn't that the whole point of a ecommerce site? And if you know that people use APD wouldn't you test an update with APD enabled? BETA or not.

I turned off ADP and the issue is fixed. Think about it, Javahead, would you rather have an ugly site, or no ability for people to buy?
Right now those are your choices.

That is not even worth responding to. (I know, how ironic)

The REAL kicker is we sent out a newsletter yesterday that brought in (in comparison) more than 50% of the business last month and tripled the amount of visits to our site. Lets just say that yesterday was a good day! But for anyone that is shopping today they are SOL.
I need a drink.....

Java,
Maybe you could create an index.html page with something saying that you are currently doing maintainence and that all orders will need to be phoned in today. Then, have a link to the homepage of the store. Also, put a noindex, nofollow in the site so the SEs don't index your Update Day entry page.
Would that work?

Due to our site design, turning off APD is not an option.
Where should I send the invoice to for 'lost sales' due to another bad MC release?

Hello Everyone,
APD is in final testing and if all is okay then will be released to all sites. Also note that in our Terms of Service, Software updates, especially Beta features cannot be considered reasons for compensation for a site if sales are lost.
As stated, I completely understand the frustrations that you are seeing, but as I also stated earlier we are doing everything possible to have this resolved. Remember you agreed to use this beta feature, and complaining about it on the forums will not help it get resolved any faster. We are doing everything in our power to have it fixed and it should be fixed very, very soon (next hour or so).

So I guess I can get compensation for the fact that one of our sites we're down after the 4.5 update? It wasn't until I logged a ticket that it was 'fixed'.

Hi Shane,
Same would go with the software update the site was down due to the update, and just needed a restart so no you could not be compensated. Also in the terms of service it clearly states that any maintenance or updates that would cause a site to go down will not be compensated for.

Thats like taking your car to the garage for a recall, having to hire a car for the day (at your own expense), getting the car back which doesn't work.

When I (or a customer) adds product to the cart a javascript message pops up that says "Product does not Exist".
I have been told this is because I use APD.
Is anyone else having this problem?
When will it be fixed?
My conversions and sales have drastically increased since I modified my product pages with APD.

Joe,
It's not productive, either, to inflame your customers by telling us to shutup. If you understand Tech stuff but don't understand customer service, get Steph back on here. Yes, we're complainers, we're a little angry about it, and we didn't know it WAS AN ADP problem. Deal with it. Got that fixed yet?

I like that APD has been in BETA for at least 2 years that I know of. Its the Microsoft BETA timeline!
Have I mentioned that I love my MAC?

I just re-enabled APD and it seems to be working. Can

confirm that the fix has been fully put in place?

Hello All,
This should be fixed now and I am sorry if I sounded rude earlier. We were already doing everything possible to get this resolved and we knew what the issue was.
If you have any questions at all please feel free to let me know.

Hi Judy,
This deals with the new functionality of 4.5. Currently your APD is set to the newest version but your site is not on 4.5 yet. We are updating your site and this will be resolved soon.
