How do I go about setting up a flat shipping rate for some of my lower priced items? Would still like to keep the real time shipping rates for higher priced packages, or is this possible?

thanks

Unfortunately, I do not believe it is possible to have one type of shipping scheme for one product and another type for another product. You can have both custom and real time shipping at the same time, its just that both will be available to all products.

I hope I am wrong, because if you could do it, I would be interested in it as well, but don't think it is possible.

Hi Guys!
You can actually set up such a shipping option. You would want to create a custom shipping option that uses price as the qualifier. Check out this url
If you need further assistance with this, just call into support or open a ticket.
Thanks!

we also have this option, but we base it on weight, not price. anything that is 1 pound or less we charge $3.95 fors hipping. This works out great for us if someone orders a piece of jewelry - then we ship it via first class mail and make upwards of $2 per sale on shipping, instead of 80 cents if the customer was to choose Priority mail or UPS.

How does this work, I thought he wanted to charge one shipping method for lower priced objects and the other for heavier.

If someone purchases a lower price object, want MC offer both the custom shipping method and the realtime shipping method? Or are you able to tell the cart to not offer real time shipping for items that cost or weigh under a certain amount?
