I swear...

Authorize.net has to be one of the most screwed up companies I have ever dealt with!

Their backend systems MUST be hosted in the jungles of the Amazon.

Obvioiusly, there entire system is messed up at the moment, as their support lines are completely busy.

Unfortunately, it is SUCH A PAIN to even think about switching to some other provider - otherwise, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I've filled out less paper work and gone through much less hassle for a million dollar lease.

Ugh.... when will they get their heads out of the sand??? bash.gif

Well, you're not the only one I've heard that from today.

I would be happy to help you with another gateway solution and I promise, it will be painless!

Let me know if I can help

What kind of problem are you having? We use A.net and haven't experienced any difficulty today.

The merchant interface was giving error messages all afternoon. We were receiving orders as normal... however we couldn't log in to do bulk captures.

It appears to be functioning normally again.

Here we go again!

What on earth is the deal with Authorize? I'm getting REALLY REALLY sick of this.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! bash.gif bash.gif

And Julie... .while I appreciate that it is of course possible to switch, it is in fact, a BIG pain - even filling out applications is enough of a pain. Also, I really don't wish to have to switch providers like one does phone companies.

Also, our rates are lower with the merchant account we have - which is another reason I don't wish to switch - our provider only uses Authorize for internet transactions. I just want Authorize to get their act together.

This is totally inexusable. I would really like to know what is going on with them.

You can change 'Gateway' without having to alter your merchant account, as they are two separate entities.

We use Verisign as our 'Gateway' and have not had a single problem in over 2 years.

Whilst that doesn't help your current problem, I'd just thought I'd mention it.

Yes.... the only other options (that work with monstersmile.gif) we have with our current merchant account are Verisign and SkipJack. They have dozens of others, but I haven't heard of them.

How is Verisign's admin panel? Can you authorize and capture later? Can you capture more than the initial authorization?

Hmmm, Verisign's gateway was aquired by PayPal. Ewwww....

How is that working out??? blinking.gif

Although PayPal legally aquired Verisign, nothing has changed on a day to day basis.

Yes you can do delayed capture, although we've never used it.
