Full Version: Image Caching
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterCommerce > How do I?

It seems when I load 4-fans page the images are not cached and it has to reload them again.

Is this a bug or is this on purpose and if it is on purpose is there a way to make the images cache on the local computer so they don't reload everytime you change a page?

Thanks

4-Fan's site indicates over 170 items that are loaded when you visit the homepage. It causes a quite a load time even when I start a new browser session to the site. It may not be a caching issue, I think it may need to be optimized a bit or something. huh.gif

Hello Neil -

The images displayed within the menus and products are cached once you go through the initial load at the home page. I can tell this by going to www.4-fans.com, navigating away to another section of the site, and then returning back to www.4-fans.com within the same browser session. So caching is functioning properly. When you navigate to a new category there may be images not previously displayed that need to be downloaded, but once you do that those images too are cached.

I agree with Ultimate and suggested to 4-fans in another posting earlier today that optimization of the images would be beneficial to those customers with slower connection speeds, and even for the rest of us. wink.gif
