Ok as i understand it this is how it works if i was to use them. Csi Goldcoast is my merchant account, I would use Linkpoint as my Gateway and thats all that monstersmile.gif commerce is concerned with. Now Csi gold coastHolds my money an evry two days Deposits it into my Business acocunt wherever i deem? My real concern is do they deposit every transaction or do they deposit all at once at certain intervals. Also any better reccomendations. This place has had the best deal on fees so far.

Also i just called them and they were kinda dicks.....

So if anyone knows anything with comprable rates but better service that would be awesome.

there are several merchants out there, though most you will find are resellers of merchants like 1st data, nova, costco, wells fargo, etc. (i believe that card services is a reseller of 1st data). i suggest checking out this web hosting forum at www.webhostingtalk.com. i always search services i am looking at there and see what the users there say about it. just an extra resource to check out.

i've worked with nova in the past and liked them, but their gateway (viaklix) isn't supported by any system out there unless you write it yourself, or you pay extra for a different gateway.

and you are understanding the process just fine. most merchants transfer money every 48 hours, depending on your actual traffic. some merchants will hold money if you have a significant increase in business in a short time. i've seen it happen before, but it was a HUGE increase in business we had back then.

hope this info helps.

We use EmerchantsGroup after reading a post comparing all the processors by another MC merchant. The rates and service are the best we have found. Here is a link to their site:

Now i just have to figure out which banks offer a business account that includes all these deposits without extra fees. cause my wells fargo one only has 300 and that mean if i do more than 300 credit card transactions in a month i would have more than 300 deposits according to csigoldcoast. Do some merchant accounts hold th emoney and deposit it as one lump sum?

one way i was thinking of avoiding those fees is to set up a free personal checking acocunt and then have my merchant account deposit into that. Since this is unlimited and free it wont matter my volume. And then i can transfer the money into my regular account every month. IS this a bad idea. Of course i will consult my accountant but it seems a good way around costly business accounts.

Most Merchant accounts deposit on a daily basis. They batch all of your transactions and deposit them together. The only time you have more than one deposit is if you have an Amex account, Discover account and a MC/Visa account. then you would get three deposits in a day.
