Full Version: Authorize.net Versus Verisign

I am working with a development company that is "recommending" Verisign but basically saying no more - leaving the decision up to me. We have been with Authorize.net for about 1.5 years, and they aren't perfect by any means. But is Verisign an improvement? They are quite a bit more expensive. Anyone have experience or thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Marilyn

Hi Marilyn,

We have worked with all of them and I would say that Authorize.net and Verisign are pretty close as far as customer feedback goes. It doesn't seem one is much better than the other. The gateway that we have had the best feedback on from merchants, is usaepay. They seem to consistently get the best reviews from the merchants.

Let me know if I can help in anyway,
Julie

Didn't paypal buy verisign, I could be wrong, but I was looking at paypal info last week, and they were trying to push verisign saying that it was there product.

we've been for verisign for nearly 2 years and have never had an issue, the gateway has never failed and the fraud protection tools are excellent. We use USAePay for another site and to be honest I don't like it - will probably move to verisign at some point.
