Here we go again with Authorize giving meaningless error message.

What does this mean....

Error code: (P) AVS does not apply

This creates a "General Error," and happens too often. We have no idea what causes it. We have even turned off our AVS and it still takes place.

I tried calling Authorize... but their hold times are over 15 minutes.

They need to get a grip on their operations. sick.gif

Do you have all your error codes set in monstersmile.gif Settings?



I use

1-1 = This transaction has been approved
1-2 = This transaction has been declined
1-3 = There has been an error processing the transanction
2-1 = This transasction has been declined. Please contact your bank
2-2 = The trnasection resulted in an AVS miscatch please check the address.

Is it normal for us to spend so much time on crappy issues such as this? Am I the only one who is repeatedly experiencing these issues with Authorize?

Without going into specifics... we have quite substantial number of transactions per month, and the rate of problems is simply unnaceptable in my opinion. I really would like to know what type of set-up larger companies use to avoid these issues.

Hello,

I've heard of this happening quite a bit lately. We do have alternatives for you other than Authorize.net. We often set people up with a different gateway other than Authorize and we just don't get these kinds of issues.
