I am just curious. I am committed to this website development project. But I don't always ask the right questions at the right time. On the average, how long does it take to develop a website and have it up and running?

It all depends on the amount you pay and the size and requirements of the website, somtimes i can get a website up and runnig within 24 hours and sometimes it wil take weeks. Sites that usually take a while to get going are storefronts and ones that involve databases to import information.

It depends on how involved or how complicated the site is.
I just moved a site from one host to another and it took months.

About twice as long as your best guess going in! My guess would be about 3 months on average. If you are moving to MC from another platform, perhaps less since you already have images and a product database that could be uploaded.

Thanks, I appreciate your reply. I know that there are a lot of variables. Just curious since I started this
Thanks again

We are in the process of doing the same thing. We have three people working on it. We should be up and running in mid August. 3 months is what we are shooting for but if your site is not that elaborate and you already have product to sell I would guess you could do it in 2 months. Good Luck.
