I was asked to come and contribute to this forum - so here I am, hey all!!

Ok I have recently began working on a project using the Monstercommerce backend. I have another site on a similar but very poor backend system.

I may have missed this but I can't find info on it for the life of me. I would like to code and design my product pages myself(for more control). Is there a custom tag I can insert that will supply the buy button, quanity box ect?

With my other solution I simply place a tag similar to this <custom tag="1" product="03342343"> to place a buy button anywhere I like. Does MC offer this?

Or do I have to use the dynamicly created MC product page? I think this is a simple question with probaly a simple answer.

Hey cool thats what I was looking for - but what if I want to show if the item is in stock or not?

Hi Kman-

There's no way to show dynamically if a product is in stock or not yet (at least on your own pages which you create). This is a good suggestion for a new feature request.

If you are disallowing negative stock quantities, though, if your customer hits the buy button it will warn them that the product they are trying to put into their cart is currently out of stock.
