While searching the the admin area I came across a site statistics area. Is this on by default? How do I log in to this page? My standard user/pass does not work. Is this a pay feature?

No this is a free service called Urchin Stats.

To get your username and password, please submit a trouble ticket and ask them for your Urchin Stats username and password. They should be able to send it right over.

However, if you are on the basic plan, this is not included.

Statistics come with the Plus and Pro plan. Urchin statistics are not included with the Basic Plan. You can also use any other stats program on the market... prices range from free to very expensive.

Is it a good stat program or should I go with another?

It is an excellent starter package... I think it is a good value for $10/mo.

Urchin 5.0 has just been released and clients provided positive feedback in the forum regarding the product. Perhaps Urchin users will comment on the pros and cons to help you make your decision.

I haven't really had any problems with urchin yet.
I think its a great program.
