Newbie here...I am converting my existing site to MC (yeah!) and would like to be able to add color swatch images for my clothing products.

Has anyone found a good way to do this without adding them to my "large" product image? Since I'm using existing images, I'd rather not have to edit them all in photoshop to add the color choices for each item.

Any ideas? blink.gif

I just added the graphic in the long description area!

It would be nice if when a customer choose a variant it changed the photo, but we cant YET. Another way is to add it to the image gallery. I have been toying with how I want to do it and haven't decided yet. cbhale has a good idea because you don't have to go anywhere its right there.

The only thing I don't like about the image gallery is that you have to indicate it in the description for people to look there, I would like a link maybe next to or under a product photo.

Click Here to see how I do it at MyPapasan.com

It requires a javascript but is not that hard to modify to meet your needs. I like it because the popup window closes automatically.

WOW! I love this feedback! This is truly one of the things that makes MC great - helpful and informative collaboration. Thanks for the speedy respones!

I would LOVE to incorporate the javascript to make the item image change colors as users click on the color swatch ([URL=Abercrombie & Fitch[/URL]). That effect is SO cool and is really helpful from the customer perspective. Maybe in "phase II"... If this gets implemented by anyone let me know.

In the meantime, I think I'll try and add the swatches to the product detail section as folks suggested. Great examples!

Thanks again for everyone's help!

I think they said the Picture changing script would be added in v4.1, but of course that was way before migrations, so maybe it is still up there somewhere. biggrin.gif
