The discount codes currently only work for a percentage discount. Quantity discounts do allow a dollar off amount.

Is there a way to drop the handling charge for orders over a certain dollar amount?

Hi Donna-

You could do this by using custom shipping by price. Basically, you would adjust your shipping costs to include the handling fee instead of using the per order fee in the global settings.
