We couldn't find the Sitemap at the location you provided. Please make sure the Sitemap URL is correct and resubmit your Sitemap.

Can you open a ticket on this? I do not know if this is a common error (others please respond). Worse case scenario is that you can resubmit the XML file to us and we can re-upload it. That may be speedier than having us troubleshoot the XML file (since not everyone in support is well-versed in XML).

I've already opend AND REOPENED a ticket on this. Speak to Brian for clarification.

He's closed both of them, and basically told me I was on my own to find a solution.

Said that they were only responsible for uploading it.

"Try contacting Google"...Yeah right!

I'll be happy to post the response if you wanna see it.

I'm pretty upset with the so called resolution of this issue at the moment.

Thank you for contacting MonsterCommerce Tech Support. Unfortunately, we do not have any support for the Google Site Map product, this is a product of Google, or the third party software that generated your site map file. Our only part is to upload the XML file you provided. We recommend contacting Google for support with their product. If you do need another file upload, please we will be happy to reupload a file.

Not sure why I would need another upload if it already was performed.

Google never had a problem finding my txt file...so I had asked for clarification on whether I need to do something different. To my knowledge, it should be a similar procedure.

So...that is why I posted the question here this morning.

Heartland,

I assume you allready did this, but just in case.

In google sitemaps, add new sitemap, and name it sitemap.xml or whatever your name is of the xml sitemap.

If you have allready done this, it might not be a bad idea to resubmit another .xml map to monstersmile.gif to upload again.

Hello I uploaded my sitemap to google successfully. I went to sitemapdoc.com and created an XML sitemap.

Copied that info into notepad and saved document as sitemap.xml. It is important to have a robot on the root to allow googlebot to crawl the page. Google should give some instructions on how to name a html page of a title they will supply you. That was all.

Check out the site I submitted, httP://www.csigoldcoast.comKevin

Well I submitted the xml file and received confirmation that tech support UL it.

These are the directions I followed...click here

Are there any other steps...am I just missing something?

Hi Heartland,

What I would recommend checking is to see if http://www.yourdomainname.com/sitemap.xml loads in the web browser. If this does open properly then they should be able to find your site map. If you want to email me your sitemap, I can make sure it gets uploaded properly for you.

I should have thought of that, but I didn't. Good idea...so it isn't there! And I already deleted the zip file cause I received confirmation that it had been taken care of. I will resubmit in the next couple of hours. I'm away from the computer that has the files on it. I appreciate your assistance. I want to get this handled properly and as soon as possible.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your help...I sent a brief email cause I noticed that MMP was included in the list of urls and I don't want that to be indexed. We all know the trouble that can cause.

So, if you'll please upload again, I would appreciate it. Thanks!!

Hi Heartland,

Not sure if it is our new mail servers at work, but I still haven't gotten this email yet, would you mind zipping those files up and uploading that zip file to your filemanager on your site. I can then pull it from there. Otherwise I'll keep my eye out on that email.

I've resent the email...I'm not currently able to zip it, but will try when I get home in about a half hour (unless you have received the email by then)...thanks
