Full Version: Design Control Over Monster Image Gallery?

How much control do we have over the monstersmile.gif Image Gallery - and where do we access these controls?

I would like to have the gallery fit more into the look of my web site - open to larger dimensions than it does now.. and use my own controllers to flip through the gallery.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks happy.gif

I think the answer to that is create your own gallery for images as the MC one is not customizable

Hello all,

I've finally come up with an image gallery that I'm happy with. I had to put the link in the short description, but it works, and it looks a lot better than the built-in gallery. Here is an example:

Any comments or suggestions on how to improve it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Other than the link in the short description I love this. It is so much better than the standard monstersmile.gif version. How did you do this? Is it one of those things that would take a lot of time for each product or does it get easier after the 1st one? Would this be something that monstersmile.gif could easily switch to for their image gallery?
Thanks

This is really impressive work!

I used jalbum software. It's a free download, and fully customizable. It takes some time (and a little programming knowledge) to edit the "skin" to achieve the look you want, but once it's done, creating new galleries is simple.

I hosted mine on a different website (ocusafe.com) just because I find it easier to upload an entire folder via Dreamweaver than to upload several files within folders through the monstersmile.gif ftp setup. But I don't see why it couldn't be hosted on a monstersmile.gif store.

Ultimately, I would prefer to see the monstersmile.gif gallery modified to look like this, but until that happens, this works for me.

So Ryan while we are in an improved communication mode can you give us a time frame within 6 months or so, when we can anticipate an improved image gallery?
Thanks
Steve
