Hello I am new, and just like any other new user, I have simple questions smile.gif

I could not find a way to delete unnecessary products from the inventory. Could someone please give me a pointer?

Thank you.

Hello FT@SGP,

After you log into your admin panel goto Inventory > Product Editor , In the search box type in your product name/number click on the search button.

This will list the part and at that point you can edit or delete the product.

Hope this is what you are looking for...

P.S. If you are using 4.0 version you will also need to select Part Number from the Search By: pull down list.

By the way, wouldn't it be great if we had a "delete this product" button in the product editor window for each product. That way, when we are researching a product (some of us have hundreds and hundreds of them) and decide it should not be listed, we can click and make it go away.

Robert - I agree! It would be so much easier if you could delete an item when your in the editor for it instead of closing it to pull up a different view so you can delete it.

Also, it would be nice if the "View This Product" option came back on the bottom of the product editor. It used to be in 3.x that you could make changes, update and hit "View This Product" to see how it looks on the site (in a new window). Now I have to open a new window manually, access the site and search for the item to pull it up and see it. sad.gif

This would save a lot of time and hassell...switching between several browser windows will you are trying to do site maintenance is really a pain not too mention non-productive...

Also the save button in the lower left hand side instead of right hand side would be a great thing!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much, this got rid of the couple of products I needed out. I appreciate the help, and as I get more experienced, I hope to return the favor smile.gif
