Is there any way to limit a "free shipping for orders over $XX" shipping option to retail only. We have wholesale and the margins are thin enough as it is without them sliding in on the free shipping option.

I did a search for this topic and could not find anything other than this thread from 2003. Has there been any progress on this or has anyone found a workaround, other than a separate site?

The only thing I can think of so far would be to name the free shipping option to say "Free Shipping (excluding ALL wholesale orders)", but I know people will still use it when they shouldn't and then we will have to go back and we will have to go back and add an additional charge to those that do this. Not really an optimal solution.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I offer Flat Rate and free can be offered too. Use the Custom shipping and put Rate as 0.00. Provided that wholesale site is seperate than Retail.

That is my problem. I don't have a separate site for wholesale and I want to make it so wholesale orders cannot use the free shipping even if they are above the dollar amount to qualify.

Is this possible?

Should I assume no response means it is not possible without another site, which is not an option at this point?
