Hi,

I am trying to calculate the number of transactions and total revenue generated by individual organic keywords. However these numbers do not make any sense, for example:

In the 'Referring Sources' report for msn(organic), my data looks like this:

Source [Medium] Revenue Trans $/Trans Percent $

msn(organic) £225.00 6 6 £27.50 3.00%

If I then break this down using 'Cross Segment Performance' using 'Keyword', my data looks like this (I am only using data that has resulted in a transaction):
Keyword Visits P/Visit G2/Visit T/Visits $/Visits
keyword1 39 9.85 5.13% 0.05 £2.18
keyword2 235 7.25 1.70% 0.02 £0.60

If I then try and re-work this data to find the number of transactions and total revenue by keyword I get this:

Keyword Visits T/Visits $/Visits Revenue Trans
keyword1 39 0.05 £2.18 £85.02 2
keyword2 235 0.02 £0.60 £141.00 5

£226.02 7

To get the Revenue and Transactions I multiplied the number of visits by the $/Visits and T/Visits values respectively. I understand that this example is only a minor difference and can be checked and amended, however on a bigger scale these results are way out. Is there any way I can change the reports to show the data I am wanting or is there another way to calculate these values.

Also if I look at the report 'CPC vs Organic Conversion' and expand on msn(organic), I get a completely different set of values (please note I did not use 'Cross Segment Performance'). Why is this? And which one should I be looking at?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Simon
