Since this is about shopping days, from merchants experience with high volume gift items, like mine. How do you staff for the Thanksgiving weekend? Should I plan on sleeping in my chair right next to the computer and web site? Will I get a ton of toll free calls? When we just had the NASCAR store we sold alot at Christmas but most of the new stuff came out in Feb - May the next year for new diecast products. It was almost all preorders on that site.

What should I expect with over 10,000 products, and great gifts and stocking stuffers on my site? I have already increased my sales by tripling last month to date and quadruple Sept sales for the same month to date.

This is going to be scary....and fun I hope martiniemoticon.gif Should I order Martini's from the Martini Guy now and drink them during the Thanksgiving weekend martiniemoticon.gif (Actually he knows I like another drink...marga....rita...ville, sorry martini dude)

Let me know from shops with similar type holiday sales what to expect....pretty please ;)

Apparently everyone is already busy as the forum post have decreased.

Wouldn't it be just about the same as last year? Our biggest day was 12/6, the Monday before. I'm sure monstersmile.gif could look in their database and tell us what happened overall.

Our 2 biggest order times last year were the 2 weekends following the Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving weekend many shoppers are in the stores picking up all of the bargains and getting ideas. We ramped up for the Monday after Thanksgiving last year and it was busier than the weekend before but nothing like we thought it would be. We were a little concerned. When the 2 following weekends hit us we forgot our disappointment. By the way did anyone else have packages burn up in the Chicago UPS terminal last year. I hope we don't have to deal with that stress again.
Good luck

We didn't have anything burn in Chicago but we had an overnight not make it with UPS because the airports were snowed-in. You can guess our customer wanted her money back for overnight shipping. The lady was actually mad at us because her package didn't get through.

Remember to post a note about rush orders and circumstances beyond your control.
