What improvements can we make with the MonsterCommerce system? Its fairly new (so just a baby)... and we need ideas on how to enhance / improve it.

Any suggestions?

What about a piece of software that monitors your email and alerts you when an email comes in to your account. Similiar to the Yahoo Toolbar but sits in the task tray.

Some of us have other jobs where we cannot monitor our email throughout the day but would like to be alerted when there is an email that comes in.

Just a suggestion.

I thought of another one, what about being able to click the the top sellers and it takes you to a page where all of the top sellers are listed with their pictures. This would enable the user to look at all of the top sellers without having to click on each one to see what it looks like.

In the near future we are looking into a feature very similar to your which will alert you when you get a new order, email, as well as a few other things.

Also the idea about top sellers showing up with images is also great, because we all know a picture is like a thousand words.

We would love to see this feature as well. Internal Notes, Product Notes, whatever it would be called.

As for some of the other ideas mentioned. I look forward to some type of utility that will immediately alert you of new orders with a sound or something!

Great Idea for us also, We would love to see when a product was put on the site.
Along with the admin ability to do an internal search by dates etc to look for old forgotten product.

Would like to see all three price columns in the Inventory MGR to be able to adjust all the prices.
This would save time when not using cost x percent markup.
Currently only one price can be adjusted.

We think this would make a big improvement in the Inventory MGR

Just a thought.

If you are here are my suggestions
1. Make "Feature Submission" a little more visible and maybe the first thing that pops up instead of invoices, make invoices a small text option at the top
2. I would add a section here that tells the customer what version they are running and maybe how long they have been running
3. I would advertise services in this area in which you provide to current Customers
I can't think of anything else at this moment, if I do I will post it

How about the ability to create our own username and password to log into the thing.

This is one reason I hate going there and wanted a features page created. I never remember that long 25 digit number.

Am I missing something with mymonstercommerce.com? The only view I get is billing and invoice information.

Yeah, I agree. That long number code is krazy Too bad it can't just notice when we're logged into the admin panel and pass along the login info. Guess it's because they're different systems. Anyways, I think if we could determine our own username and/or password it would be much easier. OR maybe use our same info from urchin stats?

Hey Guys & Gals something that I have used in the past that might help you on the new order alert.

I have a cell phone that text message capabilities, (I know that you all might not have this feature), whatever email in the admin area that I have setup to get the new orders alerts, I used Imail on the email box to automatically send a copy to another email address. The second email address is the one for my text messaging on the cell phone.


To have this built in would be a nice feature...This might be a quick fix though!


Maybe this will work for some of you...

You can have your e-mails and orders go straight to microsoft outlook. I have about 3 accounts I do this for. This works particulary well if you have another job and can use outlook. You can have them highlighted in red as high priority and setup notifications as well. Like Charles said you can also route them to pagers, cell phones with text etc..anything that has an e-mail address.

These are all very good ideas... once migrations are complete (should be another 2 weeks), we are going to be developing new features and enhancements to MC store functioanlity as well as peripherals such as MyMonsterCommerce.

When the time comes (a few weeks) we will vote on which features are the highest priority. I hope to have features.monstercommerce.com built out by then.
