I have been using the Froogle upload option from the admin panel with no problems.
Recently I received the following error though...
QUOTE
Error : Uploading File
File upload failed(because upload not permitted on hedwig.google.com Ftp server)!
Huh? Does this mean I now have to do it the hard way?

If yours is working then there's no reason mine shouldn't.
Off to open a ticket. Or can I open a ticket on this (it's beta)?

I think they're phasing it out, but it couldn't hurt to try. Maybe it's related to your server move. Have you tried it since then? I really don't understand what it does so this is a shot in the dark.

If you have Dataport it can do it also.
Froogle also has two upload options,
One FTP and under 10megs a process much like image manager

Yesterday, I sent an upload using the old fashion ftp process which is how I have been doing it for months with no troubles. It appeared to upload ok. But as of late today, it still does not show the most recent feed. So I just tried again using their ftp service. We will see. Maybe it is backed up.

We had problems this week with Froogle also
The feed (had errors) even when using an old feed that worked prior.
Then it appeared but didnt view right and said pages no longer exsisted.
As of yesterday it all worked and we had not changed a thing.
So it appears they had issues???

Well it worked today so it must have been a "glitch". It's gonna suck when they phase it out for good though.

I think Froogle had issues
Just received this email from them on our issue.
"Hello Dave
Thank you for taking the time to email us. We have resolved the issue that
led to this error. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have
caused you.
Please don't hesitate to email us if you have any questions or concerns
Sincerely,
The Google Team"

Okay, the Froogle feed option in the admin panel is definitely not working for me anymore.
MC: Has this now been phased out for good?
