Can a products with variants have groups or something similar?

I/E Pants, Jersey, Gloves as an item
however each has sizes and colors to choose from?

Seems better for the customer instead of "related items" since that requires them to click in several places.

Any thoughts, Ideas etc etc.

Hi there, i must tell you that there is no way of doing this with commerce, i have spent 2 straight days trying to figure this out and i have done just about everything, even what you have tried already. i called tech support and spoke to 6 technicians and there is no way i can sell more then one item in one page. i am trying to sell a bottom and a top in the same page, as soon as i add all the variants and try to track these items with the advanced variants, it becomes a mess, the check-out is even worse. i was told that i would either have to sell my items separately which i don't want to do, or add those variants and track my inventory by pen and paper how fun is that?

This software needs to add a better variant feature then what it currently has because this is not good for when you are trying to sell a suit that comes with a top and a bottom. I also tried the grouping but that wasn't much help, on top of that Commerce is planning to eliminate that feature pretty soon.

Have you figured out a way to sell more then one item with more then one variant on one page?

It's been very stressful this whole inventory and tracking by variants thing.
