Full Version: Server Updates
MonsterSmallBusiness Forums > MonsterCommerce > How do I?

Here I am again waiting for my store to get back to normal like it was before the bloated update that slowed down the servers.

My site is running like a jalopy. Normal then slow, slow then dead...

I thought it was all going to be taken care of by today. Still my site often takes over a minute to load and sometimes I get the white screen because of timeout.

I didn't know this until a customer called and complained. He refused to place his order over the phone so I told him that unfortunately it's out of my control. I don't know what to do.

It's uncharacteristic of my company to not be able to efficiently service the customer. I also am not used to worrying about my site so much. I used to be able to tend to other matters while orders were coming in.

The performance issues do remain, and they are severe. As near as I can tell, we are still lucky to get only about 30-40% productivity this morning. In our case, our new site was to go live this week- a milestone we will likely miss if this problem isn't resolved quickly.

Quality communication from MC would go a long way toward helping us deal with these issues in our own companies.

Updated information on the server performance upgrades has been posted here -

This was last updated as of 9:06 this morning. Did you need more information than this? Post a question in that thread.

From what I am looking at, tabasco-addict, it would appear that your site has still to receive this update. The reason behind the delay was outside of our control, as well as our hosting provider Rackspace.

Last night (into this morning), we moved about 200 sites onto the new servers.

The good news is the new servers are really moving quickly and I am sure you will be very pleased with the speed.

An industry wide shortage of Raid Card Batteries (I didn't even know Raid Cards had batteries) kept Rackspace from getting the new servers built as quickly as we had hoped, pushing back our total timeframe.
