Hello,

I have a question, I have been testing the search feature on the website. I have selected a couple of keywords or words within the description of the products and done a search on it. The search feature was not able to find any of the three products that I was searching for. As a matter of fact if found nothing.

For Example I tried searching for Rolling Pin on my site it returned nothing also tried to search for variants of that!

http://store.desertscrappers.com

But clearly if you look at the product the information is in the detailed description.

Is there something I am doing wrong...

Make sure you have the setting in the Site Wide Settings set to All under the Site Rules/Product Search Looks In

When you set up the products, did you add those keywords in the the keyword box next to the "displany stock drop down"?

We have the same issues and have some items with 30+ variants and would rather not type those all in the keyword section.

We have the search all turned on but it will not find when searching variants?
Can MC design for variants to also be found in the search?

Thanks

At this time the search does not go that deep (Variants wise)
but we are planning on enhancing this in the near future.

Thanks

Yes I have everything turned to all forgot to mention that in my message.

This is not in the variants this is in the detailed description only...

It should be able to see this!!

How many characters can be entered into the keyword, sice the search does not find things in variants?

If need be we can type in the part numbers in the keywords section.

Thanks

It appears that search is not looking in long description. I will have our developers resolve as soon as they can. Thanks!

Thanks Josh
Will work on the keyworks for the variant search for now and hopefully you will have a patch to correct in the future.
