What do you guys think a good number of pageviews per visit should be?

Hey deerfun...
um...a gazzillion? Just kidding...
There is really no answer to this. It's all relative to your market, keys, the industry, economy...and a thousand other factors.
Someone selling "salami" is going to have very different expectations than someone selling "lasers."
Though the metrics may be very different, the end result in sales might surprisingly be the same. Consider the question: which color is better, red or blue?
All in all, if you offer some sticky content, the pageviews will be higher. But a site that offers a highly sought and targeted product might sell more without any need for sticky content and might justly have many less page view--but many more conversions.
Just thought Id toss in my 2 cents.
