Hi Guy & Girls and all the monstersmile.gifs

I have moved my business over from the UK 2 months ago, however i am having to go back to the UK every 3 months this is costing me abit more than i would like, I have been told by a lawyer that if i can find someone or people to sponsor me, i would be able to get either a 6 month visa or a full term visa.

So i am here to ask if there is any people around who would be willing to sponsor me, Perhaps this is somthing monstersmile.gif might consider?

Thanks for reading

If you can help please pm me.

Many thanks Guys

& Goodluck to all

Mind if I ask what visa type your attorney suggested you try to get? B1 temporary business, E2 investor, etc.

From what i have been told, it is just a confirmation that a company would look after so to speak me if i went belly up.

A B1 Visa after hours days of research is what i am going for, the more sponsors i can get the better it is for me.

Many thanks

Does this mean we promise to feed you or something if the business doesn't take off? smile.gif

Do you have a link to any info about what's involved in sponsorship?

Is frozen pizza okay? I used to be a good cook before I had children, and now I've forgotten how to make anything but "kid-friendly" meals.

A very long time ago I knew someone who was trying to get sponsorship. I vaguely remember sponsorship meaning that the sponsor would agree to help the person find employment and give them a place to live (or a ticket back home) if they lost their current position. It was basically a way to ensure that the sponsoree would not end up on welfare or living on the streets.

I certainly don't have a problem with sponsoring you. But what are the requirements for sponsorship? Does it matter to them that we've never met outside of an Internet forum?

I've searched a couple government websites and don't see any requirements related to sponsorship with a B-1 visa. In fact, I don't see anything about sponsorship at all with this visa. Are you sure you need a sponsor with a B-1?

BTW, I'm good at ordering pizza.

The following activities require a working visa, and may not be carried out by business visitors:

Running a business.
"Gainful employment".
Payment by an organization within the US.
Participating as a professional in entertainment or sporting events.

It certainly won't be an E2 investor visa as thats what we are on - that requires you to purchase an existing business and employ an american.
