Are there any plans to be able to customize the email that gets sent to customers when an item is marked Complete?

Do you mean when an Order is complete? If this is your case there's no way to customize it. I placed a ticket some time ago 'cause I wanted the Invoice to be emailed to the customer everytime the order is moved to Complete status but the answer was NO!

Hope it helps bigsmile.gif

Would be nice to be able to provide information on where a customer can track their order, if I had a dollar for everytime someone confused USPS with UPS!

The automated email sent by the system can include teh tracking number. You can enter the # in the Order (there's a field near the menu that allows you to move the order) and when you move the order to complete the customer recieves an emai with the tracking à linked to the UPS or FedEx etc. site...

Have you tried to make some test order?

We do put the tracking number in etc, but people get the email and assume its for UPS, so they go to the UPS site and of course their tracking number doesn't work.

If we could customize the email we could make it much more obvious who their shipping is through.

You can customize the email through the orders >> order html/email system >> orders email editor

Change to the advanced order email editor in the drop down box and you can put anything you want in there.

I just talking about the email that gets sent when an order is moved to Complete.

Shane - the true answer is that only the "order confirmation" email can be customized. The rest are pure text with no customization. (Why MC didn't plug in the same code for all emails to be configurable is beyond me.)

What we did is move to a manual process to insure our customer experience with all communications is consistent in content, layout, design and branding. It's a pain - but there is no other choice if you don't want to look like a mom-n-pop store.

With 3 sites, two of which are monstersmile.gif anything 'manual' isn't really an option.

I agree that it would have been good if monstersmile.gif had plugged in the same code, people don't read their email at the best of times!
