Do you how to put a counter on a home page. I have a counter on my existing web site and would like to put one on my new

site but would like to how.
There are no built in counters in the MC software, but you can get a lot of really good counters online for the low low low price of free. Adding a counter is very simple. Usually, all you need to do is add a string of HTML code that remotely loads a string of JavaScript, or an image.
One site to start with that does free counters usually specializing in ebay and yahoo auction pages is www.andale.com - but you will find many others and many other recommendations. There was even a long thread recently where everyone chimed in with their own statscounter recommendation... in fact, I think www.statcounter.com was one of them, but I could have that URL wrong. Can anyone find that thread?
One word of warning: add these pieces of code to your HOME PAGE only, in Site HTML > Messages Editor or News Editor. If you wanted to add them to your design layout; top/left/right/bottom; you must be careful that the remote site that the JavaScript and/or Image are being loaded from are capable of being referenced with a secure HTTPS:// URL. Otherwise, your customers will see secure/non-secure errors during checkout.
Our software package comes with Urchin 5x Site statistics included with every plan and this gives a lot more detailed information as compared with a simple counter. We also offer an upgrade from this to Urchin 6 On Demand. Learn more about both options here -
