I see numerous new MC store owners that are still listed as "Members" on the forums. I get more than a little irritated, because 1) I feel for them since many are not even aware they need to ask for access to the Merchant Only forums, 2) they would find many answers to their initial questions in the Merchant Only forums, and 3) there are many unecessary posts from other merchants (including me) advising them how to gain access to the merchant forums.

This has been asked before but we were told there's no connection between Sales Reps who sign up a merchant and the forum.

Why not add a statement to the new merchant's Welcome Email that would advise them of this. Something as simple as:
"Now that you have an eccommerce site with MonsterCommerce, we want you to have the best experience possible. Please contact Tech Support by phone, xxx-xxx-xxxx, or by submitting a ticket to have your forums permissions changed to include the Merchant Only forums, where you will find much helpful information about designing and setting up your new store."

That wouldn't catch everyone, but possibly most new store owners.

Ok, I know I am IT challenged, but where do I submit a ticket? I looked all over my control panel. I tried sending an e-mail to admin, but that bounced. You really should let me into the merchant forums because I have a ton of stupid questions that will keep the members rolling in the isles.

Click on MyMC/Support on your top menu. If you haven't registered yet you will need to register or if you have registered login and there is a Create Ticket link. Remember, the only stupid question is the one that remains un-asked.

I'd just give Tech Svc. a call.
They should be able to set you up.

Hi Everyone,

To have merchant access on the forums we just need to verify that you have a MonsterCommerce Storefront. To do this you can call us in support, place a ticket through my.monstercommerce.com, or if you purchased your Pro E-Commerce package through Network Solutions, you can place an SR through the top of your account manager (upper right corner).

I have done just as stated....and still can not get access to any other forum
