I just started using Urchin 6 On Demand, and either I'm confused, or something is wrong - or a combination of both.

In looking at the instructions to set up conversion tracking and "goals" - I do not have a "configuration" tab in the upper right hand corner to click on and set this stuff up.

Has anyone else set this up - do you have the "configuration" tab available on your screen?

Other than this, I'm quite impressed with the level of details in the reporting.

I was just wondering the same thing

I am reasonably certain that MC sets these up for you before you get it so you don't have to do the configuration.
Please do double check with tech support.
Thanks

I am missing a configuration tab too.

So is Urchin 6 worth trying the demo out. I want to know if I am still selling from monstersmile.gif Market Place (don't think so), and what I am selling specifically through PPC accounts.

Thanks,

So far I like it. If I can figure out how to analyze our PPC listings, then it will definitely be worth the additional cost.

I would like to have the configuration tab also. We have no way to set several of the things that aren't working as is. Things like setting goals etc.

I filed a support ticket on this, and they are aware of the "configuration tab" issue. Beyond that, the conversion tracking details are already set up for you - you do not need to add code to your site.

I am thrilled with the level of reporting in Urchin 6. You can track transactions and even see what keywords are generating the most sales - and which search engine they are coming from. You can also see how many times that person came to your site before purchasing, and how long it took them to make the purchase. There is simply too much to mention here.

After a period of time, you should have enough data to begin targeting your marketing to particular keywords and search engines - rather than making "educated guesses."

For $29.95 I think this is a huge bargain! I would highly recommend it - particularly as we prepare for and go through the holiday season. Over time, the information you can glean from it is quite irreplaceable.

It has been a week since you indicated you filed a ticket on the configuration tab. Did you get any updates on the status. Being able to set goals was one of the attractive elements.

Yes, I did receive a reply. Unfortunately, it does not appear that we will be able to have use of the "configuration tab"... for the time being anyway.

The response I receieved from tech support, was that they set up a couple of basic goals for me, but there is nothing more that can be done at this time.

Yes.... it would be fantastic to have this, but the rest of it is well worth the money.

I'll forward this suggestion on.

Clint thanks.

Why features are hidden or disabled is beyond me.

I have been thrilled with the initial information and remain hopeful that this is going to be a full implementation of this tool from MC, not a "for your own good you can't have full use of this tool you are paying for" which seems to occur much more frequently than I want.

I cannot setup any goals for conversions or ad tracking or anything...
There is no configuration tab.
Can someone help me?
Does anyone have any goals setup?
It is really ridiculous that MC will not let us access the configuration tab.
I was talking to a tech at MC today that said he could login with the 'master password' and get the configuration tab, but he couldn't set anything up for me and he couldn't let me access it. Ridiculous.
