Full Version: Tracking Navigation On Our Websites

Hey everyone - I haven't been able to get an answer from monstersmile.gif on this and have run out of patience...

In our Urchin reports, there is a section for "Navigation" to allow us to see what pages the aggregated visitors land on and the other pages they navigate to/through. From this we should be able to see the most popular landing pages and most popular click-through activity on our sites. All this information is standard in weblogs of course.

Urchin is showing me is that they landed on index.asp -> and then clicked through to index.asp -> and then clicked through to index.asp. bash.gif (of course urchin for some stupid reason is capped at only showing 3 levels too!) Not a whole lot I can do in terms of optimizing the stickiness of my site and/or correcting any problem areas! So, I'm paying out the nose for marketing and lead generation and I have people coming to the site - and absolutely NO visibility into what they are doing in my store.

Does anyone out there get correct navigation reports in Urchin?!

No.

OK then.

monstersmile.gif, what is the interrim solution? I am more than happy in the meantime to work with my weblogs and another application. You tell me - can I point to their location on my MC server? Or would you prefer establishing a method of passing them to me (batch ftp to one of my servers, etc.)?

I feel like my hands are tied and I'm blindfolded... monstersmile.gif?

Question to the other merchants: Have the navigation reports ever worked?
