Full Version: Remote Script Error

Has anyone run into a remote script error when clicking on the buy button.
We have seen it when the customer is using Norton Internet Security.

Today we have had two calls and I had this error Sat on a new notebook running Norton Internet Security. Turning Norton off did not help the problem.
My other computers run Zone Alarm and Norton Antivirus and worked fine.
So it appears to be something with Norton Internet Security?

Any input would be great as at least two customers called to tell us. Of course how many haven't called.

Thanks

Hi Dave-

The default settings of Norton Internet Security do sometimes have some adverse effects on things with the cart ... it's the Personal Firewall component that generally does it.

They can turn it off and it should always work. Remember that you have to bring a new browser up to see this in action.

The setting that I've found that corrects this is if you have Internet Security, and you click on the top options button, and then Personal Firewall. Then click on the Web Content tab and the "information about visited sites" should be set to permit instead of block.

Hope this is helpful! biggrin.gif

Andy thanks

Will check the Norton Setting tonight and see. I had another customer call today with the same issue.

Thanks
