During the 2-Step checkout process we are finding that on average we are achieving 54% successful orders but, 33% of our potential customers are leaving the order process at the LogIn Page. Why can't the first page that appears when the customer clicks checkout -- be the form (Enter the Shipping Address for this Order) to fill out name and other info instead of the boxes with text that has to be read about Member Login, Express Checkout etc.? It would be one less step and I think the member login and express checkout page with the boxes is confusing and might aggravate the shopper. They have made their selections and now they want to checkout. Let’s make is as easy as possible.

Can't remember the area in the admin panel, but you can definitely turn that login page off during the checkout process. |

Is this possible? I looked but don't see where you turn it off.

Hi BamaCat,
To turn it off you have to go to Checkout >> Checkout Settings and set Allow Registered Users to No. That will turn off the login page then. Note though that unless you add a custom link and text to the top of your checkout though, your customers that want to register for an account or login and checkout with their account wont have a way. You can add that text and html to register or login at Checkout >> Checkout Settings >> 2 Step HTML (tab) Joe |

Awesome! Thanks for the super fast response Joe. I'll give it a try and see if it improves checkouts.
